Sweet Destruction! that song inspired my user name for this message board
I like the drums on that song. I really do. Such a sad song, but it is beautiful.
Oh, I just checked some one elses post, and it reminded me that I love "Around Your Heart". I agree, the bass part is wicked.

I also love Never Again and The Change. It's tough to choose a favorite.

Here are the songs on each album I noticed similarities in the main riffs:
Breathe (Kittie) - Under A Killng Moon (Thrice)
Everything That Could Have Been (Kittie) - Silhouette (Thrice)
Slow Motion (Kittie) - Blood Clots And Black Holes (Thrice)
Funeral For Yesterday (Kittie) - The Melting Point Of Wax (Thrice)
In Breathe, the intro riff is nearly identical to the one in Under A Killing Moon. Breathe is in a higher key, and a little faster tempo, but the strumming is mirrored.
In Everything That Could Have Been, the verse riff is nearly identical to the intro/verse riff in Silhouette. Everything That Could Have Been is slightly slower tempo, and lower key, but the strumming is mirrored.
In Slow Motion, the verse riff is similar to the second intro riff that just precedes the first verse of Blood Clots And Black Holes. Thrice's is faster with more palm-muted strumming, but the progression is pretty similar.
In Funeral For Yesterday, the intro/chorus riff is similar to the intro riff in The Melting Point Of Wax. Kittie's strumming is much faster on theirs, but in a similar time signature, and similar progression. Even the accent on lead guitar is similar to the one that comes in on the Thrice song.
Just some food for thought, and I wonder if the girls were listening to Thrice's record a lot while writing Funeral For Yesterday?
I haven't noticed any others that are paralleled on those albums as of yet, but these three were the most striking I found so far.
