In 2000 and 2001, Billboard Magazine named Artemis the #1 Independent label in the United States based on actual sales. In 2001, Artemis was named the Triple A independent label of the year by both Gavin and R&R.
In 2003, Warren Zevon's final album THE WIND was certified gold and received 5 Grammy nominations including "Song of the Year". In addition, Artemis acquired Vanguard Classics and Karuna Music/Triloka Records. In 2004, "The Wind" won two Grammys - one for Best Contemporary Folk Album and one for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for the track "Disorder In The House" featuring Bruce Springsteen.
Artemis Records is currently home to Steve Earle, Sugarcult, Kittie, Jesse Malin, as well as veteran artists Pretenders, Peter Wolf and the late Warren Zevon. i notice though that most people who didn't like kittie when they first came out... they just hold a grudge against them and think they still wouldn't like them because they're supposedly "not metal" but THEY ARE!! um. it's dumb. kittie rocks so hardcore yo.

I think that people will like this albulm... I don't know why, but I just do... I mean the crwods got bigger and Bigger since Oracle... And they havne't realesed anything for a lOONG time.... I just know... My intuitions are senceing happiness for Kittie... But if it doesn't go Platnum... Kittie should know that they have VERRY true fans.... Unlike a lot of other bands!! I know I will suppport them for a lifetime and a half!!!
