A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
The followers of such a religion or sect.
A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.
A usually nonscientific method or regimen claimed by its originator to have exclusive or exceptional power in curing a particular disease.
Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing.
The object of such devotion.
An exclusive group of persons sharing an esoteric, usually artistic or intellectual interest.
This is the defintion for cult on dictionary.com
it's also the same defintion for religion so is it a cult of it's own that people choose not to speak of because it has a bad ring to it?
Thats why everyone's a hypocrite. They say cults are bad but yet 90% of the world takes part in it
hmm....

Not everyone who is religious is a religious extremist. There are people who believe in God or some other deity who do not go to religious services, read the Bible or whichever book, follow the "guidelines," so to speak, etc...
There is a difference between being religious and being fanatical. Fanatics are the devout advocates who try to shove their beliefs down your throat. They are the ones who are unaccepting of the persons/things outside of their own religion.
So, no. Not everyone is a hypocrite.

Get off the anti-religious trip will you. Let them worship how they want to worship. If you want to believe in Holllywood celebrities, musicians, wicca and so-called magic do it on your own time. A lot of you people, the anti-religious, preach just as much.

I don't really care if it's called a cult or not since what it's called doesn't change what it is to me. The bad ring commonly associated with cults derives from all those smaller groups that actually hurt others or themselves directly. For example all these idiots who go and kill themselves just because their oh-so-charmant leader says the end of the world is coming and that's why they need to kill themselves. Or cults that are just about a pervy man getting young kids to do drugs and then to sexually abuse them in the name of something holy. To me that's what the bad side of cults is. If christianity, wicca, buddhism, zen, taoism or whatever are also cults by definition I don't mind because what you call a thing doesn't change it.
Jane, you really a wiccan? Officially I mean..?

What the fuck? i never said i was a fucking wiccan. where did you get that from? what i was trying to imply was that religion has the same defintion as a cult. I myself am i religious person in a way. Everyone keeps trying to turn my words around. I'm not complaining about anything.
I'm not assuming anything.
I'm not declaring anything. And i'm certainly not claiming i was a wiccan and even if i was, i wouldnt preach it to the world.
I just wanted to point out a simple coinedence, that's it
so there for all you who assume the world...

eh im not religious i dont believe in anything. maybe i will when i get older and really want to understand it. but right now its not for me. however i dont bash others that want to believe in god or whatever it is that they believe in. just as long as they respect that i dont and dont try to force it on me. when u do that thats when i get fucking angry and want to kill u...............kidding but i just get really pissed cause to me thats so disrespectful to try to force something on someone else. ugh
We'll wait for it, pray for it, step on the brakes till we're over it, under it, screaming like bombs for it.
